2-Day Trip to the Zagora Desert
Pick up at your accommodations in Marrakech at 7:30 in the morning. Head to Ouarzazate (famous for its film industry) across the southern face of the Atlas Mountains.
Then on the way to the desert of Zagora, we pass through the port of Ait Saoun and the Draa Valley. Once in Zagora, we ride camels to the tent camp (it is strongly recommended to bring a backpack and a change of clothes, since you won’t be able to carry a suitcase on this route).
Dinner with live music and accommodation in tents.
On the second day, on the way back to Marrakech, we cross the High Atlas along one of the highest roads in all of Morocco, crossing the Tichka Pass and see the beauty of typical Berber villages.
The Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, considered the adobe fortress in the best state of conservation in all Morocco and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is a must-see. We also visit the Oulad Othmane Kasbah, located in the Draa Valley. In addition, at the end we take a brief tour of the valley.
Then, we drop you off at your accommodations in Marrakech at around 7:00pm and say goodbye.
Please don’t hesitate to inquire about any adjustment you want to make to this itinerary (number of days, places to visit, departure location, etc.).
