    The Tour of Marrakech, the Coast and the Desert does not include:

    Cancellation insurance (available for purchase at reservation). See price and terms here.

  • Observations

    Tents are equipped with air conditioning, but they may become unusable during inclement weather, particularly in the case of sandstorms.

    Kasbah Tebi remains closed in August for maintenance work.

    Citizens of the EU need a passport with a minimum validity of 3 months

    * The months of July, August, and September are the hottest times in the Ouarzazate region. It is not recommended to stay in a place without electricity like Kasbah Tebi. Instead, we offer accommodation at Ksar Ighnda in the new town of Ait Ben Haddou, which is of a higher category, for an additional charge of 50 euros per person.

    High season: March, April, May, October and December.

    Triple rooms are usually double rooms with an extra bed (cot).

Itinerary

Marrakech, Coastal and Desert Tour

Day 1
Starting Point · Marrakech

Arrival at the Marrakech airport (flight arranged by the traveler), private pick-up and transfer to our accommodations.

Day 2
Marrakech

Breakfast. Beginning of the visit to Marrakech, starting with the outside of the Koutoubia Mosque. Later, we arrive at the semi-old part of the city. We visit the Ben Youssef Madrasa, an ancient Islamic school where elegance and attention to detail go hand in hand.

Then we take a walking tour through the medina, the old part of the city. We see firsthand the different neighborhoods of artisans, as well as the souks and markets that the medina houses. We also visit the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the main focus of the city and where acrobats, storytellers, juice vendors, musicians and other merchants and artists transform this space into a living spectacle.

Finally we discover Le Jardin Secret, a city oasis that features both an Islamic garden and an exotic garden with over 80 diverse plant species.

Afternoon free.

Day 3
Marrakech · Dadès Gorges

Breakfast and head to the Dadès Gorges. This drive along one of the highest highways in North Africa features the breath-taking scenery of the Atlas Mountains and will take us to the Tizi N’Tichka Pass.

Next, we explore the patchwork of villages, gardens and olive groves around the Skoura Palm Grove. Here we visit the well-preserved Kasbah Amridil, where ancient tools of daily life dating back hundreds of centuries are on display. Then, we head to the Dadès Gorges, a group of rugged rock formations and ravines.

Arrival at our accommodations. Dinner included.

Day 4
Dadès Gorges · Erg Chebbi

Breakfast and outing to the desert of Erg Chebbi. On the way we pass by the ruggedly beautiful landscapes of Palmeral and the Todgha Gorges, a favorite of rock climbers.

Next, we arrive at Erfoud, and if time permits, we enjoy a beautiful sunset in the high desert.

Camel ride to the air-conditioned tent camp in Erg Chebbi, where our luggage has been transported in a 4×4 vehicle. We enjoy a starry night and an authentic Berber dinner.

Day 5
Erg Chebbi · Aït Ben Haddou

Early risers can enjoy the desert sunrise. After breakfast we head back to the vehicle.

Head to the Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a beauty that intimidates. It’s one of the most identifiable and best preserved adobe fortresses in Morocco and it’s an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Arrival at our accommodations in Aït Ben Haddou. Dinner included.

Day 6
Aït Ben Haddou · Taliouine · Taroudant

Breakfast and free time, with the option of a horse ride and quad excursion in the city.

Head to Taroudant, also known as “little Marrakech”, passing through Taliouine, the Moroccan capital of saffron. Dinner included.

Day 7
Taroudant · Agadir · Essaouira

Breakfast. Departure to Agadir.

Free time to visit the city and enjoy its splendid beaches.

Arrival at our accommodations in Essaouira.

Day 8
Essaouira

Breakfast. Meet up with the local guide to visit Essaouira. We see its medina of whitewashed houses with blue doors and windows, which with its orderly and rectilinear layout is an anomaly in Morocco; or the Skala of the Kasbah, a crenellated platform facing the sea with a collection of European cannons.

In addition, there are optional activities in the city (surf lesson, horseback riding on the beach, quad biking, cycling, etc.

Day 9
Essaouira · Marrakech

Breakfast and check-out. Pick up at 11:30am and head to Marrakech. On the way we visit a farm and observe their peculiar way of picking the argan fruit, from which the well-known medicinal oil is extracted.

Free time after arrival.

Day 10
Marrakech · Return

Breakfast and check-out. At the agreed time (about 4 hours before departure), private pick up and transfer to Marrakech airport. Arrival and end of our services.
